On Wednesday, students will participate in the course using HCC’s Learning Management System (LMS) called CANVAS. Students only have to be on campus every Tuesday, the first and last Wednesday. The CT Program’s course offerings are structured as a two day a week hybrid course that is broken up into didactic and clinical sections. You will then be eligible to sit for the national exam. To earn a Certificate of Completion, you must fulfill the required number of classwork and clinical hours (eight to 15 months) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). This program is ideal for diagnostic technologists who are interested in becoming more competitive in the workforce by enhancing their credentials. HCC offers a continuing education CT & MRI certificate program in partnership with the credit Health Sciences Division. Employment of Certified Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologists is projected to increase by 9% by 2028, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The need for trained diagnostic professionals is growing at a fast rate as the senior population continues to expand in Howard County and surrounding areas.
